Sept 27
Today started out rainy but soon cleared up and became warmer. It was quite nice by the time we got to Rockport Mass. We walked around for a while and took photos. Then we went for a search for a camera battery for George's camera. We found one at a Batteries Plus store, then had lunch at a Panera bread near by and drove back to Rockport and checked into our motel. We walked around som more and took a few more photos. Today will be my last blog entry as we will leave tomorrow and drive to Rich & Liia's where we will stay until Monday and go to George's high school reunion in New Canaan on Friday night and Saturday. We hope to be home some time on Wednesday the 5th.
Here are some photos from today,

Sept. 26
It was another beautiful but cold day today  We drove from Southwest Harbor Maine to Kennebunkport Me. We stopped along the way in Camden Maine which was lovely. Then we went to South Bristol Maine to visit our next door neighbors in their Maine home. We had lunch with them in South Bristol then went on to Kennebunkport and the Franciscan guest house where we are spending the night. It is part of a Lithuanian Franciscan monastery. Our room is in the main guest house. It is an interesting place, Nothing like the European Monasteries though. We drove around Kennebunkport and past the Bush Compound at Walker Point. Then walked from the monastery into the town of Kennibunkport for dinner. Here are some pictures from today. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain. We are traveling to Rockport Mass but I don't know if I'll be able to get many pictures.

Sept 25.
Today we toured around Acadia National Park. It is a beautiful park. The weather was good but cold- especially with the wind on top of Cadillac mountain. After visiting the park we drove to Northeast Harbor, and seal harbor. George and I think we saw a seal in the water but it was too far away to be sure. we did see a moose yesterday though. Last night I disected and ate a whole Main lobster. Yum! I had not done that in years.  We are now in Southwest harbor where we will be spending the night. After we checked in we drove around some more. We went to bass Harbor head lighthouse where we climbed out on some rocks to get a good photo of the light house. The one you will see here will not be as good as the ones George took as he climbed out farther on the rocks. I decided to be a bit more cautious as I didn't want to end the trip early in the cold Atlantic ocean.
Here are some pictures from today.

Today the weather was sunny and cold but beautiful. We drove from St. John to Bar Harbor. We took the scenic light house route through the Canadian part of the trip. We arrived in Bar Harbor about noon. We walked around the town for a while then drove into Acadia National Park and drove around for a while before checking into our motel for the night. We then went back to the visitors center in the park and drove around a bit more. The scenery is beautiful. We will go back into town to find a place for dinner. Yesterday the rain finally stopped about dinner time so we went into St. John and found a wonderful restaurant for dinner. The food was amazing. I was able to tke a few more photos in St. John. Sept. 23
Well today was a very rainy day. At least it came on a rather un interesting travel day. We drove from Truro Nova Scotia to St. John New Brunswick. It was only a 3 hour drive but we decided to make the trip from Truro to Bar Harbor Maine in two days, We decided to venture out for a while in the rain to see a few places. First we went to Reversing rapids where the moutn of the Bay of Fundy is very narrow so when the tides come in and go out they back up and the rapids reverse. Then we drove into downtown St. John. Threre is a large indoor farmers and craft market there which was fun to see. We also went to an underground pedway which is a walkway under the city that goes to various buildings and a mall. I'm sure it is very convenient inthewinter when there is lots of snow. It was also nice today in the rain. Here are a few pictures from today,.

Sept 22,
We got up and went out at about 6:45 AM to photograph the sunrise at Blue Rocks then we came back to the B & B for breakfast.
Then we left Lunenburg and drove around the lighthouse drive through many scenic towns and views to Peggy's Cove. After that we drove to Truro New Brunswick. Our first stop was Mahone Bay. This was a lovely village and area with many photo opportunities. The  main attraction in the town was the 3 churches in a row on the waterfront. The second stop was Chester, another lovely village. we drove along the lighthouse drive to the end of Mahone Bay and then around the end of the Aspotogan Peninsula to St. Margaret Bay. We had a wonderful lunch sitting outside at the Trellis cafe. The food was homemade and amazing. After lunch we continued our drive to Peggy's cove. It has the most photographed light house in Canada. It was an interesting village but not as large as I expected. Here are some pictures from today.

Sept. 21
Today we drove from Frederickton New Brunswick to Lunenberg Nova Scotia. The weather was beautiful and with the sun it got up to the 80s. Lunenburg is a UN World Heritage site. It is a very old picturesque fishing town on the coast. We spent a couple of hours walking around before checking into the Alicion Bed and Breakfast where we will spend the night. We had a very nice dinner tonight at the Grand Banker restaurant. George had rack of lamb one of his favorites and I had the catch of the day which was local Nova Scotia salmon stuffed with cream cheese and spinach with asperagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Yum. We also stopped this afternoon on our walk at the local ice cream parlor. Here are some pictures from today.

Today we drove from Quebec to Frederickton New Brunswick. It was a rainy foggy day but we were driving most of the day and by the time we reached Frederickton it had cleared up. It  is also a lot warmer than yesterday. We walked around the water front park of the town, took a few pictures and then went to a cute restaurant Isaac's Way. Here are a few pictures from our walk in Frederickton.
